Martin Oei plays Beethoven and Mozart on an original Michael Rosenberger fortepiano (built in 1800) from Edwin Beunk’s collection.

Besides the very first recording of the Fantasia Sonata on fortepiano, you can also listen to Beethoven’s world-famous Pathetique sonata. The Fantasia in D minor KV 397 (1748) and the Sonata no.8 in A minor. KV 310 (1778) by piano virtuoso Mozart concludes the CD.

Martin’s third CD received a good review in the Nederlands Dagblad:… “It is interesting that Oei is fascinated by the fortepiano and likes to play this instrument … Sparkling, boisterous, and sometimes still piano playing, beautifully spatially recorded in the Zeeland Concert Hall in Middelburg“.
